Kitchen postcards .....

Hello dear friends
I have been missing you so much
I hope you are well and enjoying May

I've been a busy bee
making bumble bee blinds
three of them in all
Mr Sweet has promised to put them up this weekend

and tiling with the prettiest tiles ever

but ..... alas
my kitchen is still not finished
it seems workmen have their own time frame which is definitely not mine!
I think I'm being taught Patience with this whole process
and I tell you, it's not easy to learn .....

We are almost there though
(I know I said that last time!)
A few finishing details from my kitcheneers
and some more painting and odd jobs by us
and we will be there
(I hear angels singing just at the thought)

I wish I could show you it in it's full finished glory
but here are a few sneaky peeks
for now

It truly is my
Dream kitchen
I feel so lucky
I AM so lucky
I sat at the table just gazing around the other morning
I felt quite emotional
filled to the brim with appreciation and joy.

My colour palette was chalky pastels

Rose pink
Soft spring green
Warm duck egg
Misty sky blue

all mixed with cream
in fact ..... this mug in kitchen form!

with a few bumble bees thrown in for good measure. obvs.

As soon as we're all done
I pinky promise to show you

It has been a LONG, hard slog
I can't pretend it's been easy
so I'm glad that it IS my dream kitchen
because I won't be doing it again in a hurry
actually EVER.

The company who designed our kitchen
have been FAB~U~LOUS
very VERY nice people, so honest and genuine
they really listened too
I think I was a little on the annoying side
dreaming up this and that
and changing my mind at the VERY last moment about the sink
but they were so helpful and accommodating
and kind.

I would recommend them in a heartbeat
and I don't say that lightly.

Oh boy my list of jobs has been E~n~d~l~e~s~s lately
still is
my house is SO dusty
I don't want to properly clean until all the messy dust making jobs are done.

I've been baking though
what a joy that was
and I'm back to cooking fresh wholesome meals
I love love love pottering in here
rustling up tasty treats
My sanctuary

Wishing you all a very happy weekend

Back soon

BIG love
x Jooles x

And the blind! Just super, it really is a feast for the eyes. Now once it's all done you must eat out every night so as not to spoil how beautiful it all looks!!!!!!!!

  24. After the sneak peek on Instagram earlier, I've so enjoyed seeing more of your lovely new kitchen. It is delightful - especially those gorgeous tiles. If I were to pick a kitchen of my dreams this would be it. Hopefully you'll be back to normal before too long and be able to enjoy it. Not sure if you listen to The Archers or not, but if you do I'm sure you'll have lots of sympathy now with Jennifer! x

  28. Ooh, it's looking fabulous :) I know what you mean about the work involved though. But it's 10 years since we redid our kitchen (no building work involved, just a refit) and I'm just about ready to tackle it again.

Gorgeous bee blinds ... and such fun :)
