It's all part of life's pretty pattern

Hello my lovelies
It's been a while hasn't it?
I've been trying to write this post for a few days now
the words just wouldn't come
they still don't want to

You see
it's been very sad around here
last week my lovely Father~in~law passed away
he'd been poorly on and off this year
but it was such a shock to us all
when he very suddenly left us
There has been lots of tears
lots of nurturing and remembering

He was such a lovely and gentle man
 a husband, dad, grandad and a great~grandad
he will be sorely missed by us all
We console ourselves with the thought that
he's now at peace and back with the love of his life

I'm hoping that we'll feel a little better soon
maybe after we've said our goodbyes next week

He was a great one for little phrases
had one for every occasion
it always made us giggle
this is one of his favourites

'It's all part of life's pretty pattern'

If he could, that is just what he'd say to us right now.

My lovely boy is unwell too
he has glandular fever
I think that he's turned the corner now though
thank goodness
we have been so worried
I've never seen him so poorly
ever
Glandular fever is a nasty thing
Sweet B had it a few years ago
so I know what a long struggle back to full health it can be
but I'm on the case

Sorry this is such an unhappy post today

I shall be back soon
thanks for visiting me here

Wishing you a warm and cosy week

BIG love
x Jooles x

  2. Jooles, So sorry to hear about your father-in-law. even when a person has been poorly, their loss is a terrible shock and leaves a hole. It's a year since my Dad died and the pain of him not being here is still there, but somehow you learn to move around it. My heart goes out to you all. Hope your lovely boy is on the mend, but I'm sure he'll be getting lots of nurturing from his lovely Mum!xx

  7. Oh Jooles I am so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Losing someone is always a shock no matter how old or unwell they are; somehow we are never prepared for it. I am sorry to hear about your son too. I had glandular fever on two separate occasion and it is awful. The exhaustion is like nothing I have ever known. Even laying down is too much hard work. I am glad to hear he is on the mend though. Lily. xxx
