Postcards from Bath

Hello there
I hope you had a lovely weekend
x

Mr Sweet and I spent ours in Bath
what a beautiful city
WOW
and the weather was glorious too
it was just
PERFECT.

We walked for miles and miles and miles and miles .....
our achy legs are proof of that!
we didn't want to miss anything.

Can you imagine having five floors plus a basement?
that's a LOT of stairs to vacuum

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these little courtyards

The Circus

The Roman Baths

The ghostly projections were a little unnerving.

Bath Abbey

Fuel :o)

One of the things I love most about a holiday
is that it allows us time
time to talk, time to think, time to make plans
I just love that.
We have returned home feeling inspired
determined to make some little tweaks in our life
just little tiny things really
but it's those tiny things that can make all the difference.

We can't wait to go back again
but for now, its back to reality
I have a VERY busy week in my sewing room ahead.

Wishing you a wonderful week wherever you may be
and thanks for popping by
I love it that you do
x

Back soon

BIG love
x Jooles x

  4. Thank you for such lovely pictures......Bath is such a fascinating place to explore and so steeped in history. We went to the patchwork museum at Claverton Manor on our last visit......and I would love to go back again. How lovely beautiful the buildings look with the sun shining on them. So glad you had a lovely refreshing trip, Jooles.

  6. Glad you had such a lovely time! We haven't been to Bath for years (when we lived in the UK, we started up a tradition of going there every year for Christmas shopping and a carol concert). We must go back!

  9. So beautiful your pictures of Bath! I visited Bath when I was an 'au pair' in Southampton 45 years ago. I remember the Roman Baths and I even have an old photo of myself in front of the houses on the Circus.
I am so glad you enjoyed it too and had such a nice break.

  15. Hi Jooles your photo[s of bath are lovely. I too have had a similar bug to you in the last two weeks and it totally wipes you out doesn't it. Letting go of our babies is a very hard job in deed and not one that anyone ever warns you about. My number 2 son is about to go off to Afghanistan with his RAF Regiment but there are times I worry more when he's driving around in his car. May be it's that out of sight thing or me just burying my head in the sand at the prospect that might happen. Anyway I don;t think we ever stop being parents do we even when they have all flown and grown.

Glad you are on the road to recovery.

  16. Hi Jooles - I love bath. When I was in school I used to take part in the bath music and drama festival and it was so much fun. Did you visit the costume museum (actually I don't know if its even still there as its years since I last visited Bath)? Have a good week. xxx
