a little posy

Hello
It's raining cats and dogs here still
I don't mind though
it's cosy inside

I placed a posy of snowdrops on my bedside table
I've enjoyed them so much
more than I thought anyone could
for some reason it feels quite indulgent
a special treat
I think this is going to be my new 'thing'
a little something that makes me happy
If you don't do it already ..... try it
you may be surprised too
think of all that extra joy going out into the universe
it can only be good .....

BTW ..... you see that gorgeous mug? .....
my beautiful bestie gave it too me at Christmas
I adore it
and her of course
x

I seem to have lost my blogging voice
where has it gone I wonder?
I hope I find it soon
I feel like I have been gagged
COME BACK .....

I hope to be back later this week
(voice dependent)
with a giveaway for you

till then
stay cosy
BIG love
x Jooles x

  1. What a lovely idea to bring the snowdrops indoors so that you can enjoy them. I am enjoying having daffodils in our downstairs rooms at the moment, their scent is exquisite.
Love the Emma Bridgewater cup, I have a small collection of her things, 3 teapots (2 bought for wedding anniversaries by my husband), some dishes with the two hearts design and teatowels.I would love some of the two hearts mugs, one day I might even treat myself!! Have a lovely week Jooles X

  2. Aw come back Jooles, we miss you!

I have little pots of snowdrops dotted about the house too ... Have been hunting out mugs with hearts on to plant them in for a Valentine's day touch. I have a very similar EB cup, it is currently home to a cyclamen!

    Enjoy your Sunday

  3. I sometimes feel that way too, about the blogging voice. Then it comes back. :-)

I totally agree with you - there is something very decadent and wonderful about a posy of flowers on one's bedside table. I wish i had planted snow drops now so that I could harvest some. I like to pick sweet peas in the summer and make a tiny display in a jam jar or little vase.

  4. I also love to get a little spring inside... At the moment we have some daffodils, tulips and hyacinths inside;
a gorgeous scent fills the room! Those snowdrops from your own garden are the best though...they are so tiny, and this way you can get a better look at their beauty...
I guess that when you least expect it you'll find it ( your voice I mean)!
    Love from Mirjam.

  5. I love snowdrops. They are such a welcome sight at this time of year. A sign of the green ahead... hopefully, it's very grey and wet here.
Hope to hear that voice again soon.

  20. Your bedside looks so pretty Jooles. I'm a great beliver in indulging in a little of what makes you happy, which is why I'm not feeling too guilty about eating half a bar of Green and Blacks seasalt cholate today. Though it might have been a better idea for me to have indulged in a posy of snowdrops as they would have made me just as happy but had less impact of my waist acreage! I hope your blog boice returns soon - maybe it's waiting on the arrival of spring?

  24. Hi, Jooles,
What could be more fitting for this time of year than a little vase of snowdrops. A bit of wintertime and a reminder that Spring will soon be here.
I love your cozy bedding with it's pinky crocheted edging and your pretty mug sitting there reminding you that you are special to someone.
    Blessings and Happy Valentine's Day!

  26. Snowdrops are such lovely flowers - so precious because everything else is so dull and dreary at this time of year. I always think that spring must be on its way when the snowdrops are out.
