A make a month ♥ April 2012

As promised in my last post
here are my makes for April
I think I may be cheating ever so slightly
they are not exactly 'new'
but it is what I have been doing this tricky month
I did have other plans...
but they did not materialise from their material
:o)

First up ~
I have been working on my crochet blanket
started waaay back last year
I am still loving the colours...which is lucky

I have been merrily making squares, on and off
but got a bit board (as is very usual with me)
so I decided to have a little look see how to join them
I had a go last Saturday whilst watching 'the voice'
I don't normally enjoy those kind of shows but this, I LOVE
anyway...
I used Lucy's tutorial over at Attic 24 and it was brilliant
so clear and concise
she's a clever lady

This is the back

 I have also named it...
on Monday I picked our very first rhubarb
and it struck me
they are the colours in my blanket
look....
(it does actually look more rhubarby in real life)

So I have decided to call it my
'Rhubarb crumble' blanket
the rhubarb was GOOD by the way

The other thing that I have been up to is
patchwork
I now have a set of three cushions

I made one of these cushions last month
but wanted to make a set

I feel happy that I have actually finished something
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!

I have a very colourful one planned for this month
fingers crossed :o}

I am all behind on blogging at the moment
I am hoping to have a leisurely blog browse very soon
where does the time go???
I have no idea, there just isn't enough in a day
and there are ALWAYS too many things that NEED doing
and not enough time for the things that I would like to do
ah well...that's how it goes I s'pose

Have fun

 lots of love

A delightful post as always! Time goes by too quickly! I am so thankful for everyday God gives me! It is wonderful that we have so many things to do that we can't get them all done. We never get bored, that is for certain, though I do wish there was more time for sewing, embroidery, crochet, etc.! :) Much love, Paula xo

  17. So much gorgeousness! I really want to crochet a blanket that was in Mollie Makes magazine in shades of pink and green. I may have to make it a lot smaller as the yarn was very costly. Love the colours of yours:)

  31. As usual, your stash is lovely, how do you do it?! I too am a fan of the voice - the shame! Usually I avoid anything that is 'celebrity' or 'reality' like the plague but this is an all together more gentle affair.
