....who will shortly become a daddy

I have been cutting, knitting, embroidering and stitching

LOTS of little baby robins

to decorate Christmas trees throughout the land

They should start flying into my shop sometime next week

one or two may even be appearing in a little bloggy giveaway here

sometime soon

Oh how I love these flat little guys

wings  (if you were wondering)

I ❤ you and I ❤ my little pear bird...

Before I share something with you

I just want to thank each and every one of you lovely lovely peeps

for your kind and thoughtful words about my nan

they meant so much to me

tomorrow we say our final goodbye to her

we will miss her greatly

but I am happy that she is now at peace

❤

You may remember a little while ago when I made an Etsy treasury

well I fell head-over-heals in love with this little guy made by the incredible

Julia & David from runaway dreams

I thought about him ALL day long, couldn't get him out of my mind....

...there was nothing for it

I begged, yes begged, my husband to buy him for me for Christmas

and here he is

isn't he the cutest little pear bird you have ever seen???

I am in love

❤

He is going to get put away till the big day

I can't wait!

Christmas is coming...

...I know, I know, the tile of my post is slightly alarming

but I have been filling my Etsy shelves with lovely Christmas-y things

and I wanted to show you

First up...advent calendars

The advent calendar above is made using Tilda fabrics

mostly from the 'Christmas house' range

I have fallen madly for these beautiful prints and have used them lots

Happy days ❤...

We had a lovely lovely weekend

Sweet B came home from university

we collected her Friday evening 

she has been a little homesick 

poor love

Ahhhh it was bliss to be together

The house was filled with cake and flowers

well seriously, what home-coming would be complete without both???

 

 

carrot cake...lets just say it didn't last long

 not that cake ever does in this house

 

all these flowers were from the garden

I think the poor flowers are confused...

...not that i'm complaining 

❤

 

 

 

 

 

It really was wonderful to have her home 

and to spend time as a family

we went for a gorgeous walk at Winkworth arboetum

the trees are just beautiful in their autumn colours

we played silly games

planted sweet peas 

and did a food shop for her to take back so that she won't starve

mind you, that would never happen

I have seen her snack drawer! 

 

 

 

 

 

Even the sparkles in our bedroom felt the magic

❤

 

We took her back on Monday

(I did heavily consider locking her in the pantry)

We all felt a little sad but not like the first time

that was BAD

I have decided to be postive about it all

and start looking forward to her next visit

❤

 

 

I have been busying myself at my new sewing table

there will be a Christmasy shop update in a couple of days
