Today is a special day

It is my sweet B's boyfriend's birthday

he is such a sweetheart

Garden delights

Just take a look at these little beauties

they make me so happy

I picked them from the garden earlier today after a rain shower

I keep walking past and gazing at them, can't help myself

My lovely Pete gave this sweet little vase shelf to me on my birthday last year

It is in my kitchen, near the back door

I LOVE it so much that he gave me another as a Christmas gift

that one is going to be fixed above my sewing table

(I hope I will not be too distracted!)

Back to the sewing machine now for me

Spring bunting

pretty spring flower bunting

I finished this pretty spring flower bunting yesterday, I am so pleased with it

so vibrant and happy

I have been so inspired lately by all the beautiful fresh spring flowers

daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, primroses, crocuses .....

I just had to make some bunting

I will be listing this pretty in etsy shop today

  My mind is going bonkers with new ideas

Promise

Hello, thanks for stopping by

It is a truly GLORIOUS day here today, I hope it is where you are too

yesterday was the same, beautiful sunshine and blue skies

I was itching to get out into the garden

I had something special to do you see

this 'something special' came in the post on Tuesday

it has promised me great things

I carefully unwrapped it and gave it a long drink after its journey

before settling it in its new home

and here it is...

I know what you're thinking (same as me) that doesn't look 'special' at all

but this is its promise to me, come the summer...

Oh my goodness, I just can't wait!

 I ordered it from here, I am one of Sarah Raven's biggest fans, just love her style
It is called Ferdinand Pritchard, and a lovelier rose i have never seen
in fact it has inspired a new bunting

I am very excited indeed, this is my first post ever !

I think i shall like it ALOT

I live i west Sussex with my husband Pete and our two wonderful teenagers.

I have been thinking a lot recently about the future, my eldest, sweet B will be off to uni come the autumn and i know we will all miss each other terribly.

I am hoping this new little bloggy venture of mine will be a little piece of home for her to feel connected to and for me.... well i'm not sure yet but i hope it will help me through the tough first bit in some way.

I will miss her cakes for sure, today she made tiramisu cuptails from this book they are delicious, i thought you may like one to help me celebrate , please help yourself .....

I love to sew, knit, bake, decorate and with the help of a lovely friend, have recently learnt to crochet

I hugely enjoy being a homemaker and since we moved just over a year ago we have been having a go at growing our own fruit and vegetables too

I recently opened a shop on etsy, where i sell the things that i make, more on that another day
